What is Airsoft?
Airsoft started in Japan
in the 1980's and takes a similar form to Paintball. The major difference is
the equipment and ammunition.
Airsoft uses 1:1 Scale
replicas of real weapons everything from side arms "Pistols" to fully automatic
electric rifles, the ammunition is round 6mm BB's.
Does it Hurt?
I would be lying if
I said "No no no it never hurts". If you are shot at close range, especially
if it's a head shot it can smart a bit! but this is a rare event most of the
time you may not even realise you have been hit.
Who Skirmishes?
Anyone the any age any
gender can skirmish. but a few things to be aware of.
- You must be over
17 to buy equipment this is our policy and also that of the other reputable
suppliers.
- some sites have
age restrictions on certain days so always check and let them know if
there is a young member of the team to avoid disappointment upon arrival.

An AEG is the abbreviation
for an All Electric Gun this is the most popular weapon of airsofters
How do I get kitted out?
It is a sport, like all
others you can turn up at a site and skirmish using hired equipment from the
site, however I guarantee before long you will want your own gear.
